Is this YOUR Business?

As a business owner have you ever #thought that 

1. You’re not the right person to run your business or

2. The business you are doing now, is not the right one you!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that!

It has happened to me and I am out of that business, though it took quite sometime for me to #move out of that.

If some one is not enthused in his own business, then it's not one's cup of tea. 

When passion and commitment are missing, then, likelyhood of  effectiveness and productivity is far too less.....  

Success will certainly evade such  businesses and business owners. 

It makes sense to move out of that business & start working on alternatives.  

But, its easier said than done... 

One has to #decide whether to exit the present business forever or continue running the business by a #proxy to pursue the passion (either when it's running profitably or when the same can't be closed down immediately). 

If it has to be run by a proxy, then, there is a need to identify a trust worthy person with the right caliber and #willingness to run the #existing business, with #commitment and #sincerity.  

If one decides to quit by selling the business or closing down the business, then one needs to clear the #payables, collect receivables, clear #statutory payments, give #notice to the employees, concerned departments... 

And parallelly look for the right business to match one's interest/passion. 

The same shouldn't be done with a #haste. 

After all, there is a need to take care of the #overheads of the family, if the same is not addressed with #reserves for the next 6 months to one year... 

If there is absolute clarity in the new business, then, the time to complete the process of finding a proxy or closing down the business, could well be used to have a strong foundation for the new business, by doing 

• the research required, 

• connecting with right people and taking their counsel, 

• #trials in production or 

• test #marketing 

depending on the product or service.. 

There are quite a number of business owners who will not be able to quit immediately, even if they are in a business which is not interesting to them.

They would have to take time to get out of the entanglement they and their business is in...

These type of people may be forced to continue in their existing business, irrespective of 

• whether they like it or not, 

• whether they are profitable or not

These people need to seriously discuss with a specialist.
