Our Time When to give, when to keep 

 Each one in our society including our family need something from us. 

 Family, friends, relatives and society are integral part of our life. 

 It's our responsibility to fulfill their rightful requirements and expectations. 

 At the same time, it is equally or more important to spend enough time and resource to ourselves too, to achieve our life Goals, ambitions and Dreams. After all, it's our life and we are solely responsible for that. 

 Challenge lies in how we balance our time in handling our responsibilities towards 

1. Our own Dreams 

 2. Role in the family 

 3. Role in the profession 

4. Contribution to the society. 

 Broadly, there are three types of people. 

 Those who 

1. Put themselves before others: Chase their dreams to the extent they forget other roles and responsibilities towards others. 

 2. Put others before themselves: Work hard to please all those around them, eventually losing focus on their own dreams and goals. 

3. Know what to give, what to keep: Have clarity on how to share their time and resources effectively among all the roles, without compromising their own. 

 Those who belong to the last category are mostly both successful, and satisfied. 

 Success is only incidental. 

 Bottom-line is; they are happy and have least regrets too... 

Now, time for the million dollar question.. 

 Which one of these categories do you want to be? 

 Before you answer. 

 1. Analyse your routines. 

2. Check whether you are compromising... 

 3. Find out if you are are happy doing what you are doing now! 

4. Visualise what will be your future over the next 5 years, 10 years and 20 years, if you continue to do what you are doing now...

 

 The duration of this self analysis should be for a little long period. 

 A minimum of 3 days, if not for a week. 

 One should Dwell on these thoughts, with the understanding that the awareness and further action has the potential to transform one's future: Not only in one's life, but also the way one impacts lives of others.. 

 Taking action on the decision is the Key. 

 Any amount of awareness without action, is like a powerful car with no keys. 

 Take the keys, go for a fantastic ride towards a great future.
