Ambition and Greed

अतिलोभो विनाशाय = Greed will kill (is poison)
It is but natural to be ambitious for any business owner. Without ambitions, entrepreneurship doesnot exist.

Entrepreneur is always on the look out for opportunities to expand and grow into new territories with new products or services, etc.
Obviously, exploiting the opportunities come with inherent risks. It is just too important to study in depth the implications, both short and long term, on the existing business, and its financials.
Some times from being ambitious, the business owner becomes over ambitious. And he cannnot be blamed, after all, it is the second nature for any entrepreneur.

There is a very thin line between overambition and greed.
It has to be clearly understood that when the returns in a business/project is very high, it is always built with higher risks as a default. In other words, the higher returns are directly proportionate to the risk involved.
A clear demarcation has to be done to ensure that the ambitious growth plans never touch the border of  greed, which can hamper the propspects of the existing business.
