"7 practices that can improve Sales Drastically"

Every business is spending a lot of time, effort and money to generate leads.

Few businesses are suffering because they are not able to generate enough leads.

The above tells us how important and valuable every lead is.

In most organisations, especially in SMEs, the conversions from these very critical leads are poor......

This happens because many in sales don't follow the right process for converting the leads to sales.

Its time to ask ourselves
1. whether we are adhering to the right processes and
2. improving upon them, if the answer is in the negative...

Here are 7 practices which will help to improve interaction with prospects and to achieve better sales conversion.

Learning to do them well, will make a huge impact by improving  results.

1. Re-confirming appointments -  Remind and confirm with the prospects and team members(who have to join you), to ensure the appointment is not missed.

2. RFQ (Request for Quote) - See that the quotes are sent at the earliest possible time. If there is a delay, inform the prospect about it.

3. Prepare well for the meeting by doing research to understand their business, needs of the prospect and about persons to be met.

4. Sharing the information about the proposal with team members who are likely to
a. Be in touch with the  prospect or
b. Accompany you for the meeting,
so that the entire team speaks in one language, with complete understanding of the needs of prospects.

5. Provide details or documents in time (required by prospects or to clarify doubts or queries of prospects) after the first meeting.

6. Respond immediately to the calls/SMS/WhatsApp/email messages from prospects.

7. Find opportunities to Increase the number of touch points with the prospect. For example; either send the prospect a SMS message or call, to inform that a mail was sent to him.

These practices are very simple to follow and highly effective in earning the goodwill with the customer.

All the above  practices will result in
1. Increased familiarity with the prospect
2. More opportunities to interact and develop relationship
3. Building trust

There will also be a drastic increase in the leads to conversion ratio.

After all, the very purpose of a lead is to convert it to sales.
